About Us

*Government Medical College (GMC), Amravati* is a government-run medical institution located in Amravati, Maharashtra, India. Established in 2024, it is one of the newest government medical institutions in the Vidarbha region, affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik, and approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

The college is linked to the upgraded District Civil Hospital, Amravati — a multi-specialty tertiary care center — giving students practical, hands-on clinical training and exposure to a wide range of medical cases.

GMC Amravati admits 100 MBBS students each year. The college aims to produce skilled, ethically grounded doctors to serve both urban and rural communities across the Vidarbha region.
